A CONVERSATION. A CONNECTION. A PLACE TO BEGIN.
Meet Melody.
I’m Melody, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I offer a relaxed, welcoming space to work through what feels difficult and reconnect with what matters to you.
I love helping people find peace in their relationships and greater confidence in everyday life. Connection within couples and families can help build a kinder community.
My approach is conversational and relaxed. I want my office to feel cozy and welcoming, because talking about what hurts can be difficult. Come as you are, take your time, and begin with what feels important to you.
Whether you’re looking for a few focused sessions or ongoing support, I’ll talk with you about your goals and a pace that feels right.
There is room for you here.
Kindness is central to how I live and how I practice. Black lives matter. Women’s rights are human rights. Love is love. No human is illegal. I strive to create a space where your identity, experiences, and relationships are treated with care and respect.
Care shaped around your experience.
My experience includes trauma, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, infertility and loss, relationship challenges, infidelity, and women’s issues.
I also support LGBTQ+ young people and work with religious trauma and deconstruction, facial differences, and military-connected experiences. My approach begins with understanding what matters to you.

A LITTLE CLARITY BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Your questions.
A place to start.
It’s okay to have questions. Here are a few answers to help you feel more at ease.
What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is a chance for me to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. I’ll review privacy, confidentiality, office policies, and what you can expect from therapy with me.
I’ll ask about your experiences, current concerns, and hopes for counseling. You’ll also have space to ask questions and share what would help you feel comfortable.
My goal is to understand your needs and help you decide whether my approach feels like a good fit. You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can reach out by text, email, or an appointment request through the Request an Appointment. Let me know you’re interested in getting started, and I’ll discuss availability and next steps with you.
You’re welcome to ask questions before scheduling. Text and email are the best ways to reach me; please allow 24–48 hours for a response.
What are your qualifications?
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Indiana, license #35001962A. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
My experience includes internships as an in-school counselor, a group leader for a Mood & Moms group, and a counselor in a home for teen mothers. Before graduate school, I also worked in youth services at Lutherwood and LaRue Carter Hospital.
These experiences inform the care and perspective I bring to our conversations. You can explore the training section above to learn more about my therapeutic approaches and areas of learning.

How can I learn about your privacy practices?
My Notice of Privacy Practices explains how your information is handled and the privacy rights available to you. You can read it online or request a copy by email.
